Rohan Khaunte, IT Minister Government of Goa, inaugurated ‘AI Studio – Metal X’ a joint collaboration between iTechSeed India Growth Ventures Pvt. Ltd., BITS Goa Innovation and Entrepreneurship Society (BGIIES) and the Institutional Innovation Council at BITS Pilani KK Birla Goa Campus, which is poised to become a central hub for artificial intelligence (AI) research, development, and collaboration in the state. The AI Studio, a kind of Industry – Academia collaboration, will serve as a catalyst for AI-driven advancements in various sectors, including manufacturing, automotive, maritime, mining, healthcare, education and sustainable energy. The creation of this AI Studio represents iTechSeedBIGIIES-BITS Pilani Goa’s commitment to leading the way in technological innovation which has the potential to transform industries, improve lives, and create a more equitable and sustainable future. It is through spaces like these that they will nurture the next generation of leaders in this field. The facility is equipped with advanced computational resources, cutting-edge research labs, and collaborative workspaces that will foster creativity and discovery. It is expected to bring together a diverse community of AI experts, innovators, and thought leaders, to fuel the technology innovation in the state. The AI Studio is also designed to provide access and support for startups and MSMEs, ensuring that opportunities for growth and innovation are available to all sectors of society. Additionally, this will help to create future ready workforce with the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly AI-driven economy.
