Dean Menezes the CMM Group Chairman and Managing Director passes away

Dean Menezes the CMM Group Chairman and Managing Director passed away on Monday at the age of 59, at the CMM Memorial Hospital, Altinho after battling an illness for a year. He was dedicated and determined in his pursuit of economic growth in Goa and his death marks a great loss for the state.

Dean also served as the Vice President of Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Panjim and held the position of the Honorary Consul for Germany in Goa. He was an active participant in the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and was also a member of the Holy Cross Indo-German Techno Centre Governing Council, Marna-Siolim.

Shrinivas Dempo the President of the (GCCI) said “It is with profound sadness that we learn of the passing of Dean Menezes, our esteemed Vice President.  Dean was not only a dedicated leader but also a person of great integrity and vision who contributed effectively to the chamber working. His tireless efforts, wisdom, and commitment have left an indelible mark on the Chamber and the wider business community in Goa.

Furthermore for the years 20142016 he was appointed as a member of the Western Regional Council and he was elected as the Chairman of the Goa Council in 2008-09. As a responsible citizen of this country and society Dean supported the Goa Institute of Management (GIM) by being a board and society member and a participant of the Goa Chamber of Commerce (GCCI) in the Managing Committee.

He is survived by his mother Cecilia Menezes and his sons Rahul Menezes and Ian Menezes.
