Young Indians (Yi) is an integral part of CII, formed in 2002 as a PAN India platform for young Indians to realise the dream of a developed nation. In order to recognise individuals committed to societal development, and effect real change in the society by working upon each other’s strength, Yi-Goa has decided to launch a ‘Yi Goa Change-Maker 2018’ campaign. It seeks to identify those who are doing good for the community around more than just as a hobby or a weekend exercise. It is open to only those working in individual capacity or leaders of social organisations. There is no age limit. However their work has to have a demonstrable benefit to community. This campaign is open for residents of Goa. An application form would have to be submitted by those who seek to promote their work. Alternatively, a worthy individual could be nominated by someone else, as well. Following are the sectors of work to be considered for the recognition: education, health, Swacch Bharat Employability and Social Enterprise. Yi-Goa would be focusing on how the initiatives taken by the change-makers contributes to India’s development and analyse whether the idea is suitable, scalable and sustainable to and in Goa.
Interested candidates are requested to send in their nominations on yi.goa@cii.com. The shortlisted candidates shall be invited to present their work before an eminent panel of jury from fields of education, industries and social enterprise. The three main parameters to decide on the change maker is: 1) Number of lives impacted/will be impacted; 2) Sustainability, and; 3) Scalability. The top-3 entries will have a session dedicated to them at Thought Leadership Conclave 2019
