Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Goa Management Association jointly organised a talk by Walter Vieira on 29th November at the GCCI Convention Hall in Panaji.
In his talk ‘World Passport for Global Managers’ – understanding cultures and ‘mores’ for success, Walter Vieira explained the elements of good global business and personal etiquettes, how they can be mastered and utilised by the global executives to make a good first impression and win over domestic as well as international business counterparts.
Vieira, in his witty, inimitable style interspersed with large number of anecdotes and personal experiences, explained how business and behavioural etiquettes, cultural and moral values vary around the world. He said that as business grows more global, it’s becoming more important than ever before for executives and employees engaged in global businesses to respect other cultures’ business customs and avoid embarrassing faux pas that could make or break a big business deal.
