Jai Ganesh Ispat, a leading steel supplier in the state, is known for its strong association with clients over the years. “The steel industry enjoys wide application across different sectors. But we have been covering different grounds in order to become a one stop source for all the steel requirements in the state,” says Siddharth Goyal, Managing Director of JGI.
Jai Ganesh Ispat is the sole and authorized distributor of JSW Steel Ltd in Goa – JSW is one of the top companies in India and has strong global presence due to its commitment and quality.
JSW has one of India’s largest and only integrated steel manufacturing plant – where steel is manufactured from raw material induction to the manufacturing or rolling of the final product at their 3000-acre facility at Toranagullu, Ballari, Karnataka.
“Being a privilege distributor of JSW Steel Ltd and JSW Explore, we were extended an opportunity to conduct JSW Steel plant visit at Vijaynagar, Toranagullu in Ballari district of Karnataka for our prestigious clients, mostly structural engineers,” said Goyal.
The team from Jai Ganesh Ispat along with their clients visited the JSW Steel plant on 26th and 27th July 2019. Altogether there were 46 engineers along with JGI staff who had participated in this industrial visit.

The plant tour began with the unloading of the raw material from railway wagons using sophisticated and totally automated machinery. This was followed by the blast furnace facility overview, in order to learn how molten steel is made from iron ore pellets.
Later, the team visited Steel Making Shop (SMS) which is India’s largest steel making shop. Here the molten steel is converted into billets and slabs. Further these billets are converted into TMT rebars and slabs are converted into HR & CR sheets. The visitors then proceeded to witness the testing unit and the end product warehouse.
Samples were tested and live demonstrations were exhibited to the structural engineers to display and prove the everlasting quality of JSW Steel. The test certificate of tensile test, grade test, chemical test, bend-re bend tests proved JSW Steel’s physical and chemical properties.
This was followed by discussions with JSW officials where the engineers put forth questions and sought technical details regarding JSW products.
“We organise such visits/trips to JSW plant for our structural engineer clients every quarter of the year,” says Goyal.
