Subrai (Sandeep) T Nadkarni has authored a new book titled, The Khazans of Goa. The book was published by Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and was released at the hands of the Governor P. S. Sreedharan Pillai. Khazans are reclaimed lands from the river or the sea and these lands were once used for cultivation. The book throws light on efforts made by earlier generations to reclaim riverside lands for cultivation. It is expected to be of use to academicians as well as general public. Nadkarni is the former Chief Engineer of the Water Resources Department
