State Government sanctions Rs 25 lakh seed capital for 3 startups

The Department of Information and Technology sanctioned Rs 25 lakh as seed capital for three startups in Goa while further approving Rs 30.6 lakh as incentives to 10 Goan startups under the Goa Startups Policy 2021. The approval was granted at the seventh high-powered committee meeting headed by the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. Chief Secretary Parimal Rai, IT secretary Sanjay Kumar and IT director Ankita Anand were present. Jeniffer Monserrate stated that Rs 25 lakh seed capital has been approved as incentives to three Goan startups namely Brunchbites, Asier Solutions and Fitkout. In December, the Goa Technology Association had met the CM and urged him to convene the high-powered committee to clear the pending applications for policy benefits before the Model Code of Conduct is imposed.
