Shashikant Punaji, the esteemed programme officer and coordinator of Bal Bhavan in Panaji, has assumed the role of director-cum-member secretary of Bal Bhavan with immediate effect. This responsibility was conferred upon him through an order issued by the Director of Education, Shailesh Zingde. The position became vacant following Dayand Chaudikar’s voluntary retirement in January. Punaji, recognised as a prominent Konkani poet, brings with him a wealth of experience and is intricately linked to the cooperative movement in the state. His appointment signifies a continuation of dedicated leadership within Bal Bhavan, and his diverse background promises a dynamic approach to the organisation’s mission.
