Prime Minister Modi inaugurates projects worth 1300 crore in Goa

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated projects totaling over Rs 1,330 crore at the ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Goa 2047’ rally in Margao. Virtually opening new campuses for the National Institute of Technology in Cuncolim and the National Institute of Water Sports in Panaji, he emphasised their tailored courses for watersports and water rescue activities.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated a 100 TPD integrated waste management facility with a 500 kW solar power plant in Curchorem, designed for scientific waste treatment. Additionally, he laid the foundation stones for a passenger ropeway connecting Panaji and Reis Magos and a 100 MLD water treatment plant in South Goa, envisioning them as new attractions.

Modi distributed appointment orders to 1,930 government recruits and handed out sanction letters for various welfare schemes, including Forest Rights Act, Griha Aadhar, Laadli Laxmi scheme, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, Pashupati scheme, Prime Minister Matsya Sampada Yojana, Dayanand Social Security scheme, and National Rural Livelihoods Mission.
