Nitin V. Raiker, Director of Fire and Emergency Services is the recipient of the President’s Fire Service Medal. He has 32 years of experience in the management of fire-related emergencies in Goa, that includes monitoring major incidents and has played a key role in saving public property. Raiker began his journey in the fire force as an assistant station fire officer in 1991. He was promoted as station fire officer (1998), and later to assistant divisional officer (2010). Raiker had received a distinction and gold medal on completing his divisional officer’s course.
In addition, Raikar\\er had also acquired a fellow membership from the Fire Engineers Institution, London in 2015. Previously Raiker was also the recipient of several certificates of appreciation by the North and South District Collectors and Swabhiman 2023, an appreciation certificate by Minister for Art and Culture. In 2008, Raiker was also awarded the Chief Minister’s Fire Service Medal for meritorious service on Liberation Day.
