Pramod Rane has been awarded the Atmanirbhar Bharat Nirman Ratan Award for Individual Contribution for National Economic and Social Development; by the All India Business Development Association. Rane has worked for British Airways and his next stop was as managing director of Northwest Airlines. Later, he started Airsonic Travels, a travel agency which has slowly grown as one of India’s leading IATA Travel agents, specialising in leisure and MICE business. He also opened his office in Sydney which later bagged the ‘Best Corporate Travel Agency of Australia’ Award. Rane’s desire to start a beachside resort led to the opening of La Cabana Beach and Spa in 2012. The resort with 51 tastefully curated rooms is one of the most preferred beach wedding destinations in the state. Rane plans to expand into medical tourism. He has been the recipient of various industry honours, incuding Business Goa Awards for Corporate Excellence in 2018.
