Mauvin Godinho, Minister for Industries held marathon meetings at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Mumbai office, ahead of the Invest Goa 2024 Summit to be held on January 29th. The government has scheduled meetings with various industries to seek opportunities for the industrial development of Goa. The meetings explored various diverse investment opportunities across all sectors.
Meetings were held with the Consul Generals of the Netherlands, Finland and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Discussions were held on topics like trade, investment opportunities and avenues for bilateral cooperation. These discussions laid the foundation for strategic collaborations and highlighted global interest in Goa’s economic potential.
The Consul Generals expressed their keen interest in exploring partnerships with Goa, acknowledging the State’s growing prominence as an investment destination.
Godinho stated that Goa was committed to creating a business-friendly environment and stressed on its unique offerings as well as an emerging hub for international investments. He further said that several important organisations have shown an interest in contributing to Goa’s economic landscape.
Chemtrols Industries is actively exploring the establishment of a ‘Waste to Energy’ plant while Imagicaa World Entertainment expressed interest in setting up an ‘Entertainment Park’ claiming it would be a source of joy and entertainment for both locals and visitors.
Hinduja Renewable Energy is aligning with Goa’s green energy goals, with plans to set up a floating solar plant and expand their existing solar unit.
