Twenty seven teams battled it out in the city level finale for the top honours at the Goa edition of the Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz 2018, held at Vivanta by Taj, Panaji, Goa, on September 26, 2018.
In a closely fought final, Siddharth Misra and Prasad Shetty from Loan Singh.com defeated their opponents to emerge as the winners of the quiz, taking home a cash prize of ₹75,000. The team will compete in the zonal round to qualify for the national finale. Harshvardhan Bhatkuly and Rajiv D’Silva, from Savoir Faire were declared runners-up, winning a cash prize of ₹35,000. Jaikant Shroff, General Manager, Vivanta by Taj, Panaji, was the Chief Guest at the finale.
Celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Tata Group, the theme of the quiz this year was 150 Years of Business. Known for its exciting and novel formats, the quiz was open for participants from both Tata and non-Tata corporates and start-ups. The event was hosted by renowned quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam, also known as ‘Pickbrain’, who has been conducting the quiz since its inception in 2004.
The 15th edition of India’s biggest corporate quiz will run for a little over two months, traversing 25 cities, with four zonal rounds leading to the national finale to be held in Mumbai.
The national winners will receive a Grand Prize of ₹5,00,000/- along with the coveted Tata Crucible trophy. The prizes for the Quiz are supported by Tata Nexon
