The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) through its Board of Studies, academic wing supported by the Western India Regional Council (WIRC) of ICAI has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Directorate of Higher Education and Goa State Higher Education Council at Taj Resort and Convention Centre, Dona Paula.
The objective of this MoU is to stimulate and facilitate the development of collaborative and mutually beneficial programmes, which will serve to enhance the intellectual life and cultural development in both ICAI and the respective universities in terms of curriculum/ content development, faculty development, interactive sessions, recorded lectures for professors and students etc.
The Board of Studies (Academic) as an academic wing of the ICAI is working effectively towards bridging the gap between industry requirement and academic curriculum of commerce courses in the country which is in alignment of NEP 2020.
The process of entering into Memorandum of Understandings (MoU’s) with various state and central universities, colleges and institutions is to extend academic co-operation in Undergraduate (B.Com., B.Com. Hons.), Post-graduate (M.Com.), and certificate and diploma commerce courses in the field of commerce and accountancy education.
The ceremony was graced by Dr Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa besides CA Aniket Sunil Talati, President, ICAI; CA Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal, Vice-President, ICAI; CA Vishal Doshi, Chairman, Board of Studies (Academic), ICAI; CA Dayaniwas Sharma Vice-Chairman, Board of Studies (Academic), ICAI; and CA Vandana D. Nagpal, Director, Board of Studies (Academic).
