Years ago when I was the Area Director Goa, I met this wonderful family – Parents with young adults staying at Taj Fort Aguada – for family time before their children left home for their higher studies abroad. We talked about various college options, food, their hobbies, and career choices. I am back in Goa once again, and imagine my delight when I recently welcomed them again–this time at Taj Fort Aguada–and found myself face to face with the next generation. Those spirited teenagers were now parents themselves, with little ones of their own, toddling through the same lush gardens and gazing in wonder at the Arabian Sea.
There was something deeply moving about this moment: an unspoken tradition – a thread that binds past and present – of the timelessness that Taj strives to embody. Goa’s charm hadn’t faded, nor had the family’s love for this place. Instead, it had been passed down. To see generations returning to the same warm embrace of Taj Fort Aguada was a reminder of why we do what we do. Hospitality isn’t just about the present—it’s about being part of stories that span lifetimes.
