A remarkable celebration of technological innovation and progress, Future Ready, a venture of Umang Group hosted the second edition of its virtual event, Hello, World! 2.0 Unlocking the Next Tech Wave, a Global Technology Summit that was held in October on the Zoho platform. The event had 700+ attendees from all over the world.
Hello, World! 2.0 witnessed some of the most prominent speakers from the field of their expertise. Oscar Rodrigues, Vice President Business Development, Umang Software hosted the virtual event. Mangirish Salelkar, CEO and co-founder of Umang Group while inaugurating the event said that Hello, World 2.0 has been designed keeping in mind the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Make In India’. The event saw speakers and panelists with a global presence and businesses that transcend nations but ultimately Indian at heart.
Shrinivas Dempo, President of Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), and Chairman of Dempo Group of Companies; who was one of the special guests, mentioned that the objective of Industry 4.0 is to interconnect machines, processes and systems for maximum performance optimisation while Industry 5.0 will take efficiency and productivity a step further. Pallavi Salgaocar, Women Empowerment Chair of ASSOCHAM Goa, Executive Director of Geno Pharma, Founder of Desserts N More bakery chain, and Member of the GCCI Managing Committee; who was the second special guest spoke on the impact of gender diversity in leadership on organisational performance.
Rohan Khaunte, IT and Tourism Minister, who was the Guest of Honour, affirmed that the Government was investing in research and development, encouraging collaboration between educational institutions and industries, while providing incentives for tech companies to set up operations in Goa.
Chief Guest Dr Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa; stated that he was confident that Goa will become a ‘technology-first’ state with IT companies and startups playing an important role in boosting the economy. The event was graced by esteemed speakers on the panel viz. Savio Rodrigues, Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Goa Chronicle and Incubees; Aditya Karmali, Vice President, Global Head of Partner Ecosystems and Channels at Ascendion; Kiraan Mehta, Head Incubation and Innovation at Forum for Innovation Incubation Research and Entrepreneurship (FiiRE); and the moderator, Harshvardhan Bhatkuly, Publisher-Editor of Business Goa, Editor-in-Chief of Startup Nation. They spoke on the topic ‘The Evolving Landscape of Global Tech: Trends and Predictions.’ The panelists with their thoughtful contribution and diverse perspective shed light on some of the most pressing issues in the world of technology.

The second distinguished set of panelists were Krishna Chytanya Ayyagari, Senior Customer Engineer, Enterprise Sales, Google, San Francisco; D.S. Prashant, Chief Executive Officer of Startup and IT Promotion Cell, Government of Goa; Sujeet Shetty, co-founder of Team Inertia Technologies, President of Goa Technology Association (GTA); and Rohan Warty, Managing Director, Xerviz Wlobal, Secretary of GTA, co-founder, WISELY HR Co.; who was the moderator. They spoke on the ‘Startup, Scaleup and Sustainability’ where they shared their insights and thoughts while educating and igniting curiosity amongst the attendees.
The event included a Purple Experience by Shanti Raghavan from EnAble India, a non-profit organisation that works to empower people with disabilities.
In addition, there were product showcases by Damodar Patnekar from Bodhami, a edu-tech startup focusing on students across their education and learning lifecycle; and a second one by Rohin Parker from Spintly, a provider of wireless cloud-based access control platform, that allows users to access doors using their smartphones.
The event was supported by associate partners – ASSOCHAM, GCCI and GTA. The state partner was Government of Goa, Zoho was the technology partner, Business Goa and Startup Nation were the magazine partners while Goa Chronicle and Incubees were media partners. The virtual event ended with a vote of thanks by Ashwini Nagekar, Administrative Manager, Umang Group.
