Biryani Cottage has been serving different kinds of biryanis to their loyal customers for over decade and continues to make people happy with their offerings
Goa is synonymous with good food and people who love to try out new cuisines. One is always on the lookout for a place serving good biryani and when I say good, I mean the kind that has your mouth watering just at the thought of this fragrant rice dish with chunks of juicy meat below a layer of almost burnt onions.
The man behind Biryani Cottage is Tinky George, who has worked with a publication in Goa for 13 years and set up his venture of offering different kinds of biryani, in 2013. He is also a director of a few short films in Konkani and feature film Glory, which was the first film on sports in Goa and released in 2019.
People love eating biryani and as Goa is one state with focus on amazing food, Tinky decided to set up Biryani Cottage with his brother Tippy. A takeaway which focuses on serving biryani exclusively, it offers the quintessential biryani experience for foodies who are on the lookout for taste as well as hygiene. Biryani Cottage showcases 30 varieties of biryani hygienically prepared and served with accompaniments.
They have developed their biryani keeping health conscious people in mind, while maintaining the taste. Their fast moving biryanis are Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani, Lucknow Chicken Biryani, Prawns Biryani, Paneer Biryani and Mushroom Biryani. They have discounts and offers during festivals for regular customers and also have biryanis by the kilo, on which there are special discounts throughout. A flat 10% discount is offered throughout the year for corporate and event companies.
Tinky mentions that they are celebrating their tenth anniversary this year and thanks their loyal customers and staff who have always been very supportive. “We are very happy that we are highly rated by our customers on various online platforms like Swiggy, Zomato and Google. We also have a direct delivery system where we deliver food through OLG (order Local Goa). Tinky plans on expanding to other places and is currently looking for franchisees in Porvorim, Panjim and Merces, where he hopes to serve his delicious biryani to old as well as new customers.
