Guntata Hriday He (Entangled) won the ‘Best Film Award’ at the prestigious 21st Kalpanirjhar International Short Fiction Film Festival held at Kolkata. This was the world premiere of the film. After scrutiny, 12 short fiction films across India were selected for competition in the festival.
The short film was shot in Goa with all Goan artistes including two time national award winning producer Rajesh R Pednekar, Rati Bhatikar, Manndar Jog, Sayee Shivrekar and Subray Raghunath Joshi.
The director of the film is Sainath S. Uskaikar, freshly graduated from Film and Television Institute of India. The short film is produced by Dr Milind Damle, an associate professor at Film and Television Institute India, Pune. He supports students from the film institute to make films under the banner Academic and Film Fund, Pune. The film was completed in July 2023.

The Plot:

Director’s profile:
Sainath S Uskaikar is a filmmaker based in Mumbai. He graduated from the Goa Engineering College in Electronics and Telecommunications. Post his engineering studies, he went on to earn a postgraduate degree from the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. His debut short film Wagro – place of sacrifice, produced by Gayatri Pednekar and Rajesh R. Pednekar, was accepted at the short film corner Cannes Film Festival 2022 and it premiered in the Indian Panorama at 53rd IFFI 2022 and won several awards across the Globe.

Dr. Milind Damle is an alumni of FTII Pune in Film and TV Editing from 2004 batch. He is an associate professor at FTII Pune. His diploma film Dwijaa (2004), which he had written and edited at FTII won the National Award in 2005 for ‘Best Non Feature Film on Social Issues’. Adwait Sangeet (2010) written and produced by him was the opening film of Indian Panorama in 2011 at IFFI, Goa. Pandhara Chivda (2019) written, edited and
produced by him was in Indian Panorama in 2021 at IFFI Goa.
