Goa Branch of ICAI elects new Managing Committee

The Triennial elections to the Managing Committee of the Goa Branch of WIRC of ICAI, were conducted on 25th February 2022. Chartered Accountants across practice and industry domains, turned up in large numbers, to record the highest voting turnout in the history of Goa Branch Managing Committee elections.

The final results of the same were declared on the same day and CA Gaurav Kenkre, CA Thomas Andrade, CA Milind Shirodkar, CA Vishwanath Bhobe, CA Vaibhav Bale and CA Vinayak Dhumatkar, were declared elected.

On 28 February 2022 the newly elected members took charge of the committee and CA Gaurav Kenkre was elected as Chairman for the term 2022-23. CA Thomas Andrade was elected as Vice Chairman, CA Milind Shirodkar as WICASA Chairman (students wing), CA Vaibhav Bale as Secretary, CA Vishwanath Bhobe as Treasurer and CA Vinayak Dhumatkar as chairman of Taxation subcommittee.

The Chairman stated that the goal and vision of the committee would be to ensure skilling and knowledge dissemination amongst Chartered Accountants, while also looking at their all round development. Further, as a social responsibility, ICAI would partake in many activities which would benefit society at large, such as Financial literacy campaigns, thus empowering the common man.

  1. The Goa ICAI also plans to closely work with the Government and other institutions like Goa University, GCCI, CII, GTA etc in bringing meaningful changes to the finance ecosystem in the state.
