While unveiling its first such collaboration with one of Portugal’s leading business schools, the Nova School of Business and Economics, the Goa Institute of Management (GIM) has announced the opening of student admission processes for the 2024-26 academic period, offering a diverse range of programmes, including a groundbreaking International Double Degree programme in collaboration with an elite Portuguese institution. The Programme involves a 24-month full-time residency, including a year in the European B-school.
The selection of candidates is determined by their scores in competitive tests like the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Internet-Based Test (iBT), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Cambridge English Proficiency exam (CPE), Cambridge English Advanced exam (CAE) or Cambridge English Business Certificates (BEC). The deadline for submitting applications is January 2, 2024.
Dr Ajit Parulekar, Director of GIM, emphasised the significance of the International Double Degree programme, stating, “I believe that our International Double Degree programme in collaboration with Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE) is a game-changer in data-driven leadership education. It empowers our students with the skills, knowledge and global perspective needed to thrive in an increasingly data-centric world.”
The International Double Degree programme, developed in partnership with Nova SBE, combines GIM’s Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Business Data Analytics (BDA) with Nova SBE’s Masters in Business Analytics. This collaboration aims to redefine data-driven leadership education and prepare students for leadership roles in data analytics, business intelligence and strategic decision-making.
Upon successful programme completion, candidates will be awarded a PGDM (BDA) from GIM and a M.Sc. in Business Analytics from Nova School of Business and Economics in Portugal. The programme necessitates the first year of study at GIM’s campus at Sanquelim in Goa and the second year at Nova SBE campus near Lisbon.

This comprehensive offering includes a diverse array of programmes such as PGDM Core, PGDM Big Data Analytics, PGDM Banking Insurance and Financial Services, PGDM Healthcare Management and the International Double Degree in Analytics. These programmes will welcome a combined intake of 600 students reflecting GIM’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering innovation.
Nova SBE was ranked 15th among Europe’s elite MBA colleges by the Financial Times, underscores the programme’s quality and global reputation, showcasing the value of this partnership between GIM and the Portugal-based B-School.
