GCCI welcomes the initiatives on Ease of Doing Business announced by the Goa State Pollution Board yesterday. The decision to do away with mandatory NOC’s and rely on self attestation by the respective industrial unit will go a long way in helping the Goan Industry.
The processes of getting the NOC’s were cumbersome and time consuming. GCCI had represented to the Government to do away with these complicated processes and thanks the Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant, the Environment Minister, Nilesh Cabral, the Secretary Environment, Arun Kumar Mishra, the Chairman of GSPCB, Mahesh Patil and the Member Secretary, Shamila Monteiro for this excellent initiative.
It may be noted that GSPCB has reduced time for granting consent to establish and consent to operate in all categories. One more major welcome change is the auto renewal facility and acceptance of Self Attested Certificates. GCCI requests that other Departments takes cue from these and make similar changes in their procedures.
