EO Goa Chapter to host Global Student Entrepreneurship Awards

Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO) is a high-quality support network of 16,500+ diverse business leaders from over 60 countries that enables entrepreneurs to achieve their full potential through the power of life-enhancing connections, shared experiences and collaborative learning.

EO has been helping entrepreneurs achieve transformational growth since 1987. This member network is committed to learning and helping each other succeed. Today EO members employ more than four million people worldwide.

In 1998, EO launched the EO Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA), a premier global competition for students who own and operate a business. Student nominees compete against their peers from around the world in a series of local and national competitions with the intention to win the GSEA Global Championship.

Participants must be undergraduate or graduate college/university students with a company operating for at least 6 months with generated revenue of a minimum US$500 or US$1,000 in investment.

Besides the collective price money of 100,000 USD, GSEA student entrepreneurs are mentored, recognized, and make strategic connections to help take their businesses to the next level of success.

“This year we have partnered with AIC, who have assured Goa semi-finalists an opportunity to get funding up to 40 lakhs and a chance to be on the next season of the Indian OTT show Horses Stable, on the lines of Shark Tank. Top 6 semi-finalists will also be trained and mentored by industry stalwarts. Additionally, the EO Region has tied up with Mumbai Angles (Investment Platform), Venture Catalyst (Funding & Knowledge Partners) and I-Ventures @ ISB (Incubation and Networking), which will give finalists an opportunity to raise funds, get mentored by the best in the industry and learn how to successfully grow their business. This is an excellent opportunity for student entrepreneurs in Goa, and I wish I had had this opportunity as a student” said Gaurang Suctancar, GSEA Chair for EO Goa.

“Students can register online on www.eonetwork.org/goa up to 18th of December, 2022. Shortlisted students will be informed by the mid December, 2022 and the Goa finals will be held on the 21st of January, 2023. Shortlisted students will go through a series of trainings and contests, before the Goa finalist is selected by a team of esteemed judges and participates in the South East Asia finals in March 2023. The winner of the South East Asia finals will compete in the Global Finals and we are confident that this year we will have a local student competing in the finals” said Siddharth Goel, GSEA co-chair for EO Goa.
