Goa has always been known for its entrepreneurial spirit. From successful family businesses and MSMEs to globally accomplished professionals and business leaders, Goans have made their mark across industries and continents. Yet, there has never been a dedicated platform to bring this collective strength together with a common purpose. The Confederation of Global Goan Entrepreneurs (COGGE) has been created to bridge that gap.
An initiative of the Vibrant Goa Foundation, COGGE (cogge.vibrantgoa.com) is envisioned as a global platform that connects Goan entrepreneurs, business leaders, professionals, investors, and the worldwide Goan diaspora to create meaningful opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, market access, innovation, and partnerships. The objective is simple yet ambitious; to build a stronger global identity for Goan enterprise while creating tangible opportunities that contribute to Goa’s economic growth.
Milind Anvekar has been appointed Chairman of COGGE to lead this global initiative, with strategic guidance from the Vibrant Goa Foundation under the leadership of its Chairman, Rajkumar Kamat. Providing strategic direction is the COGGE Advisory Council, chaired by Advocate Narendra Sawaikar, NRI Commissioner, Government of Goa. The partnership with the Office of the NRI Commissioner reflects a shared vision of strengthening connections between Goa and its global diaspora while encouraging greater engagement, collaboration, and investment.
COGGE’s journey began with the Global Goan Unity Run/Walk, a unique initiative held to celebrate Goa Statehood Day. Participants from across the world came together in a symbolic celebration of unity, demonstrating that although Goans may live in different countries, they remain connected through their roots and aspirations for Goa.
Building on this momentum, COGGE organized RiSE 2026 – Resurgence, Innovation, Synergy and Entrepreneurship, its inaugural leadership summit.
The event brought together entrepreneurs, business leaders, policymakers, and industry experts for meaningful discussions on entrepreneurship, innovation, and collaboration.
More importantly, RiSE established COGGE as a platform driven not merely by networking but by creating lasting business relationships and opportunities.
The journey has only just begun. The next major milestone will be the COGGE Convention, scheduled for 30 October 2026, which aims to bring together Goan entrepreneurs from India and around the world for a day of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and business engagement. The convention will further strengthen COGGE’s mission of building an interconnected global entrepreneurial community with Goa at its heart.
COGGE is more than an organisation; it is a movement. It represents a belief that when Goan entrepreneurs unite, share knowledge, support one another, and work towards common goals, they can create opportunities that extend far beyond individual success.
By fostering stronger business relationships across geographies and generations, COGGE is laying the foundation for a globally connected Goan business ecosystem that will benefit entrepreneurs, businesses, and the State of Goa for years to come.
