CII Goa organised a Session on “Impact of the New Education Policy (NEP) and the Way Forward”. National Policy on Education (NPE) is a policy document formulated by the Government of India to promote education wherein this policy covers elementary education in both rural and urban India.
The eminent panellists comprising of Mr Shrinivas V Dempo, Past Chairman, CII WR & Chairman, Dempo Shipbuilding & Engg Pvt. Ltd., Mr Ninad Karpe, Past Chairman, CII WR & Partner 100X, VC, Mr Blaise Costabir, Chairman CII Goa State Council & Managing Director, GMI Zarhak Moulders Pvt. Ltd., Mr Deepak Khaitan, Trustee, Sunshine Educational Trust, Mr Himanshu Rai, Director, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore and Prof Mridula Goel, Faculty in Charge, BITS BIRAC BioNEST, BITS, Pilani KK Birla Goa Campus stressed on the need of Quality, Innovation and Research as the main pillars on which India will become a knowledge superpower. They further deliberated not only on the process of formulating a New Education Policy through the consultation process for an inclusive, participatory and holistic approach, which took into consideration expert opinions, field experiences, empirical research, stakeholder feedback, as well as lessons learned from best practices but also on the implementation aspects of the policy in its true sense.
