Change of Guard at Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Goa

Arjun Chowgule, Executive Director, Chowgule& Co.Pvt. Ltd. has been elected as the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Goa Council for the year 2025-26 while Mahendra Wani, General Manager, Siemens Limited has been elected as the Vice Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Goa Council for the year 2025-26.

Chowgule & Co, an industrial conglomerate with interests in commodities, logistics, engineering, trading, and education, is India’s largest private sector shipyard in terms of vessel deliveries. Arjun holds responsibility for the operations of the shipbuilding and energy engineering business and has been instrumental in building the next generation global fleet comprising hybrid & diesel electric vessels for the European market.

With Goa playing an important role in India’s growth trajectory, the new leadership aims at creating and sustaining an environment conducive to the development of Goa. “Through strategic partnerships with industry, government, and civil society, we aim to secure a future where Goa thrives as a dynamic and sustainable hub for business and community development” said Arjun.

Their names were announced at the CII Goa Annual Meet organized with the theme ‘Charting priorities for Goan economy – Sustainability, Innovation & Growth’ highlighting the importance of sustainable development through innovation and innovative techniques that can meet the demand of the present world without compromising the potential for the future.
