Prof Saurabh Patankar’s start-up company GreenShift Energy Pvt Ltd incubated at BITS Goa Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship Society (BGIIES) was selected for the Environxcel 2.0 scheme.
The demo cheque worth Rs 10 lakh was awarded to Prof Patankar by P Abhishek, IAS, Managing Director of Goa Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) during the valedictory ceremony of Vibrant Goa Global Tech Summit held at Panjim recently.
Prof Patankar is a faculty in the Department of Chemical Engineering of BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus, Zuarinagar, Vasco.
The Environxcel 2.0 scheme under the HDFC Parivartan Programme has been designed for start-ups with proven sales models and who align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to make a positive impact on our planet. The selected start-ups get grants up to Rs 10 lakh, the opportunity to launch in new global markets and work with public sector units.
GreenShift Energy Pvt Ltd was also awarded the best start-up at Mega CiiA-3 Innovations Exhibition in Mumbai in February 2024 and Best Industrial Biotechnology Start-up at Global Bio-India 2023 in New Delhi.
