Blockchain affiliate marketing platform AEToken, co-founded by Goan entrepreneur Jason Fernandes won the best ICO pitch competition at the Malta Blockchain Summit.

Held at Malta, the summit is a marquee event in the ICO/Blockchain space, playing host to over 8500 delegates and a speaker list that spanned a veritable who’s who of the crypto-industry including the Winklevoss twins and John McAfee. The highlight of the summit, the ICO pitch contest saw 19 blockchain startups in a head-to-head battle for two checks, each worth €25,000.

AEToken CEO Vadim Fedotov’s six-minute pitch explained how the affiliate industry had long struggled with systemic problems including lack of enforceable contracts, fraud, slow payments and high minimum payouts.

Fedotov explained that with AEToken, affiliate deals are secured through smart contract, payments are instant, fees are lower, and scalability is a non-issue.

After a rigorous judging process led by investor Mark Hamade, the panel awarded AEToken the €25,000 award for “Best ICO Pitch”. Speaking about AEToken’s pitch, Dave Pulis of ZBX, a judge at the event said, “They have actual users that they are connected with, so once they put their product out there, it’s going to get adopted.”

Founded by Vadim Fedotov, Gene Hoffman and Jason Fernandes, Malta-based AEToken has a particularly stellar team of advisors including 2017 YCombinator partner Marcus Segal, Eman Pulis (Founder, Sigma Conference), iGaming expert Michael Caselli, Walter Komarek (Forbesfone) and Dr Evan Luthra of Almora Crypto Investment Group
