Kumar Siddharth lists out the challenges faced in the real estate sector. “Firstly this is an unorganised sector in this service industry, if the Central Government streamlines this sector then the Government can provide skilled employment, institutions/educational hubs can be a part of the government’s initiative to launch qualified real estate courses, followed by exams to make sure that the person is qualified to enter in this particular sector after RERA Certification/Registration. Qualified Brokers/Realtors can either launch their own company or join a firm/ company that are into real estate. This will help even tier-III cities and villages to get into the rising real estate demand. There are few associations in India to safeguard this industry but I feel the Central and State governments should come up with an effective plan in order to streamline this sector.” Secondly, he feels that the GST on brokerage should be reduced from the existing 18% to 5%. “The Central Government must take a step to reduce GST from 18% to 5%. We are a service industry / sector and keeping this in mind the government must take a stand on reducing the GST.” Regarding future plans Rr. Kumar Siddharth says that they are planning on launching various projects in Goa in partnership with other players. They are coming up with projects consisting of apartments/villas/farmhouses at various locations in Goa and launching plotted lands near the border of Goa at Dodamarg, situated in Maharashtra.
