The Post Graduate Department of Travel and Tourism Management of DCT’s Srinivassa Sinai Dempo College of Commerce and Economics, Cujira, Bambolim launched the first issue of its bi-annual departmental magazine on tourism.
“The publication will provide discerning travelers and readers, a sustaining and delightful tourism experience”, said Pallavi Dempo, Trustee of Dempo Charities Trust, at the launch of the magazine.
The magazine ‘In Transit’ was released in both, print and digital format, at the hands of Pallavi Dempo, and Prof. (Dr.) Manoj S. Kamat, Principal of SS Dempo College. The edition is centered around the theme of ‘Reviving Culture and Tourism’, and explores facets of hinterland tourism and local festivities, said Principal Kamat.
The issue is curated by Mini Riberio, the cover page designed by Jessica Mendonca, a student, and the content, design, layout and photography is handled entirely in-house, by the student batch of 2022-23.
The contributing students and faculty were felicitated at the hands of Pallavi Dempo. The coordinator of the tourism department, Dr Cheryl Venan Dias, Yash Prabhugaonkar, faculty member, accompanied by the student coordinators were present at the function.
