The Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry has welcomed the announcement made by the Hon. Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari during his interaction with the Industry Associations.
The GCCI President Ralph De Sousa said that expediting the completion of the Zuari Bridge with value additions like state-of-the-art revolving observatory, walkway, art gallery and restaurant will be a big boon to the Goan economy.
With the infusion of Rs.1200 Cr elevated connectivity highway , the decks are cleared for completion of the new Mopa Airport scheduled to start operations in August’22.
The Chamber also welcomed the Hon. Union Minister’s assurance that he will personally look to complete the repairs of the NH4 through Anmod Ghat to Karnataka which is pending. This will solve the connectivity to Karnataka State and will reduce freight cost & lead time.
Ralph De Sousa further added that the out of box thinking and solutions provided by the Hon. Union Minister have gone a long way in developing Infrastructure in the Country. He was referring to the electricity based public transport system proposed in Goa and the use of eco friendly alternate fuels like ethanol by Gadkari , during the interaction.
Commending the Hon. Union Minister the GCCI President said that Gadkari has been the architect of modern Indian Infrastructure. He conceived and executed the Mumbai Pune Expressway which was first of its kind in the country which changed the complexion of road transport. He has always been a friend to Goa and has allotted new infrastructure projects and funding to the State.
