In a bid to promote computer literacy, Rotary Club of Panaji Riviera along with Geno Foundation and Bhagwati Trust donated 8 computers in four schools. Two computers were given to Ideal High School, Pilgao; Hedgeshwar High School, Sanquelim; Government High School, Bicholim; and Poira High School, Poira.
On the occasion of the handover, Ramchandra Garde, Chairman of Ideal School, Pilgao thanked the Rotary Club of Panaji Riviera for taking the initiative to spread computer literacy amongst the students. The club secretary Rtn Ryan Costa along with Rtn Pallavi Salgaocar, trustee of Geno Foundation and Rtn Neeta Rajani, trustee of Bhagwati Trust during their respective speeches encouraged the students to get computer literate in today’s tech-savvy world, as today it is impossible to function without a computer.
The representatives of the four schools present thanked the Rotary Club of Panaji Riviera for the good work done by it especially for the schools in rural areas
