Panaji, Goa 11th February: A print magazine focused on the startup ecosystem in the country, Startup Nation was launched yesterday in Panaji. Doing the honours were R Mukundan, Chairman and CEO of Tata Chemicals; Shrinivas Dempo, Chairman of Dempo Group of Companies; Ninad Karpe, Chairman of Western Region of CII; Kanika Tekriwal, founder-CEO of JetSetGo; along with Harshvardhan Bhatkuly, Publisher-Editor of the magazine.
Published by Savoir Faire Media Pvt Ltd, which also brings out the monthly magazine, Business Goa, Startup Nation hopes to create a platform for startups and stakeholders of the startup ecosystem around the country to share their stories and vision for a vibrant economy that India is on a path to become.
While speaking on the sidelines of the event Bhatkuly said, “We conceptualized Startup Nation keeping in mind the bustling startup ecosystem that is gaining ground in the country. The magazine aspires to be the voice of startups. We would like to bring to focus the very many stories that abound the startup ecosystem in the country. These stories will provide inspiration and valuable nuggets of case studies and first hand experiences shared by the movers and shakers in the startup space to aspiring entrepreneurs.”
The cover story in the maiden issue features the entrepreneurial journey of Ritesh Agarwal, a college dropout, who went on to bag the prestigious Thiel Fellowhip and created Oyo, one of the largest hospitality players in the country.
