Chowgule & KOC offering culinary courses

Chowgule Centre for Applied and Professional Studies (CCAPS) has entered into a three-year agreement with Kamaxi Overseas Consultants (KOC) to jointly offer skill-based, professional, short duration courses in the culinary field. After recognising KOC’s pioneering role in offering quality training and recruitment services in the hospitality industry, CCAPS, a skills development initiative, decided to forge/ this partnership.

The main objective of the CCAPS-KOC collaboration is to offer short term, job-oriented professional courses which will empower students with vocational skills in the culinary field of the hospitality sector, which is not only booming, but provides ample opportunities for employment and growth.

Madhav Punekar, principal, American Culinary & Cruise Line Academy (ACCLA) said “We are proud that Kamaxi Overseas Consultants (KOC) has entered into a three-year agreement with Chowgule Centre for Applied and Professional Studies (CCAPS). Students from general streams of education are at a disadvantage of not possessing specialised employable skills. With this collaboration in place, in addition to general education, such students will have an option to empower themselves with vocational skills, leading to employment opportunities, and exciting career options in the hospitality industry.

Manoj Pandey, coordinator, CCAPS, said, “We are happy to collaborate with Kamaxi Overseas Consultants (KOC). Parixit, who is the director of KOC, is an alumnus of the CCAPS and it was great to welcome him. This collaboration will help students equip themselves with specialised skills through hands-on industry-oriented education.

The theory sessions will be held at Chowgule Centre for Applied and Professional Studies, while the practical, hands-on skills part will be held at ACCLA.”
